Obstacle
There are a few obstacles that plague elemtary kids now-a-days. One of them is technology. Kids these days spend more time on the internet and games, which means moe distractions. It also increases the number of students who wait until the last minute or copy assingment which can affect their learning and lead to bad habits. The other one is the economy. Due to the shortage of money teacher positions had to be cut or laid off which means more students are pushed onto teachers. When that happens the ratio between students and teachers increase which means that they cann't focuse on every student.

I completely agree that technology is too influential on a kids mind.

ReplyDeleteI agree with both points that you made. Technology is a big issues because of distractions and the really big issue is cheating. Children can copy and paste an assignment and never learn anything. The teacher student ratio is also important. Some kids need more help than others. If there are too many students per teacher, the children that need more help could suffer from it and ultimately not do well in school at any point.
ReplyDeleteMy son plays video games throughout the day. I don't let him play grand theft auto instead i have him play on abc.com or some other educational website. He is a very advanced 3 year old and i believe it has to do with the technology he uses. As long as children are supervised i think technology is useful to learning. As far as the economy we are currently in does make it hard for children of any age and even adults.
