  1. I think that American idol dies a good job of telling people that they cannot make it in the music industry. It is better to learn early on that you cant make it than spend all your time and money trying. How does it let people learn to cope with criticism?

  2. What I learned was that I thought that American Idol screened what they aired more than they actually do. I don't think that they should have aired anyone criticizing an autistic person if they were being really mean about it. It makes the producers look bad. I think the best part was that the group new some of the American Idol winners even some that weren't really famous or arn't currently famous. I think that a weak part of the presentation was maybe too much emphasis on the judges. Other than that it was a good presentation to me.

  3. I think that you gave lots of good information about American idol and what it was all about. I did not realize that they were so mean and negative to people that were not the best singers. I have watched a little bit of the show but was never a big fan. I think you should have talked a little bit more about what the winners of idol and what popular songs they have came out with. Over all I thought it was a good presentation.

  4. I really liked how you emphasized the negative aspect of the criticism and the tastelessness of judges, especially Simon. I feel like shows like this often support negative aspects of society and condition people to be hurtful to one another, at least during the initial tryouts.

  5. I didn't know that an autistic person got criticized and I don't think that that should have happened. I thought it was a good presentation but I have to agree with Danielle about putting more emphasis on the show altogether rather than just the judges.

  7. The video was good at showing how the comments can be more negative and insulting than helpful. I also agree with Danielle that it could have been more about the show than the judges.

  8. I never knew that an autistic person was made fun of and if they were i thought that they wouldn't show it on the T.V. I liked how you talked about the winners of previous seasons but i think you should have also talked about the show.

  9. The video of Simon was the best part because it showed how mean and critical he was of the singers. I believe he was the reason American idol got most of their viewers from because he was really entertaining and funny. Something that could have been better was explain more of how the show works and a more clear depiction of the positive and negative influences.

  10. The video of Simon was really good. It showed how he tore them down. I think that the reason why many of the people watch this show is to see what Simon says negatively about them.
